Megan Volger grew up in San Diego playing volleyball. She is an alumnus of both San Diego and Epic Volleyball Club. She was a starter on varsity at La Jolla High School for all four years. She has played in three CIF finals matches and was three times named on the Second Team All CIF. After high school, she played club volleyball at UCLA. Megan began coaching after college, assisting the Freshman team at La Jolla High School. She has also coached at Wind n' Sea Volleyball Club, Cambridge Rindge and Latin School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and most recently La Jolla Volleyball Club. She has been the Freshman girls' volleyball coach at Del Norte since 2017. Her Freshman girls are undefeated in the Palomar League. She has also assisted Del Norte's Varsity boys' volleyball team and in 2019 helped the team win its first CIF championship. While it can often be challenging, Megan enjoys coaching young players, introducing them to the game of volleyball and establishing the foundation on which these player build a life-long appreciation for the sport.
